CAKE SMASH PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN
THE HAGUE
This is without a doubt the messiest and funniest session you can book. A joyful, laughter filled experience for both you and your baby. It is messy, playful, and full of personality.
Cake smash sessions are best scheduled when your little star is between 10 and 12 months old. They are perfect for creating images for birthday invitations or for sharing with family and loved ones on the big day.
To ensure everything feels thoughtful and personal, I recommend booking at least one month in advance. This gives us time to plan your session together, from the overall look to the decorations and styling, so it feels just right for you and your little one.
What can you expect at the time of the smash cake photoshoot?
The smash cake photoshoot is done in 3 parts.
- In the first part I will take some pictures of your baby without the cake, that way you will have some cute pictures before she/him get dirty.
- In the second part we will give to your baby the cake. All the babies are different, some of the babies attack the cake right away, others need their own time. That’s what makes it special and cute! I’m there to capture this moment.
- In the last part is in the cute bathtub. During this part I will need some help of the parents to make some bubbles to interact with the baby meanwhile I’m photographing.
What is included in this shoot?
- The decoration and the bath.
- You just need to take care of the cake and the outfit.
Where the photoshoot will take place?
- At the comfort of your own house. I’ll take care of everything and I just need a small space somewhere in the living room where have the most sun light.
How many days before the photos will be delivered?
- 2 weeks.
Is it possible for the photos to be delivered in 24 hours after the shoot?
- Yes it’s possible, there will be an extra fee of €50,-
Is it possible to have family photos during the cake smash session?
- Cake smash sessions are designed to focus on your baby. The backdrop and setup are small and not suitable for adults to be included in the photos. A sibling up to 5 years old may join for a few images. If there is more than one sibling, please let me know in advance so I can check whether this is possible.
What happens if my baby doesn’t want to cooperate and I’m not happy with the photos?
- Every baby is different, and their mood on the day will always guide the session. While I cannot guarantee cooperation, I will always do my very best to capture beautiful moments without ever forcing your baby into anything uncomfortable or unsafe.
I do not allow anything that could distress or harm your baby for the sake of a photo. I encourage parents to stay relaxed and calm, as babies are very sensitive to energy and emotions. A gentle, pressure-free environment always leads to the most natural images.
Is it possible to see all the photos from the session, not just the gallery selection?
- After your session, I will carefully curate a gallery of the best images for you to choose from. Any photos that are out of focus or not up to my quality standards will not be included in the gallery.
